Tone Isn't Crafted. It's Summoned.

RITUAL 2 is a free amp loader for PC and Mac.

Load a NAM amp. Put a pedal in front of it. Put one or two cab IRs behind it. All in one window, inside your DAW or as a standalone app.

The big one in RITUAL 2 is the RIT engine.

Take two to five NAM captures and turn them into one profile, with a GAIN knob that sweeps between them. No more loading a new file every time you want more drive.

RITUAL was free. RITUAL 2 is free. It always will be.

Two Engines. One Switch.

Flick between RIT and NAM at the top of the window. RITUAL 2 remembers the amp you loaded in each one.

  • RIT (red) plays .rit profiles and compatible single .nam files. The main knob becomes GAIN.
  • NAM (teal) plays standard .nam amp models. The main knob is INPUT.
  • Your pedal, cabs and tone controls stay put when you switch engines.
  • Open a .rit file and RITUAL 2 switches to RIT for you.

NAM for the captures you already have. RIT when you want to sweep between them.

Your Captures. One Sweepable Amp.

A NAM capture is a snapshot. One amp, at one setting.

RIT Creator takes two to five of those snapshots and saves them as a single .rit file. Load it, and the GAIN knob moves smoothly from the first capture to the last.

Click CREATE RIT CAPTURE. Name your amp. Load your NAMs from lowest gain to highest. Hit CONVERT & SAVE .RIT, then LOAD INTO RITUAL 2 and play.

The .rit carries its captures inside it, so it plays without the original NAM files.

Here is what it is not. It is a "Parametric Like" profile, built only from the snapshots you give it. Captures from clean through high gain give you a smooth sweep across that range. It does not recreate every setting of the real amp.

What You Can Build With RIT

All RIT Creator needs is two to five compatible NAM files, captured at the same sample rate. Here is what that gets you.

Five Captures. One Amp.

Capture one amp at clean, edge of breakup, crunch, lead and high gain. Load them in that order and GAIN 0 to 10 sweeps the whole range. Automate it in your DAW to go from verse to lead.

Two Amps. One Blend.

Put Amp A in Lowest Gain and Amp B in Highest Gain. GAIN 5 is a 50/50 blend of both. Check they are phase aligned first. RIT Creator will not line them up for you.

One File. No Loose Ends.

A .rit holds its captures inside it, so it plays without the original NAMs. Keep the originals anyway if you want to rebuild it later. Pedal and cab choices save separately in a preset.

What You're Getting

Controls That Do One Job Each

Every knob does what it says. Drag to turn, double-click to reset, or click the value and type a number. Resize the window if you want it bigger.
Amp In + Out
Input or Gain, Output, Amp On/Off
Gate
Threshold, Gate On/Off
EQ
Low, Mid, High
Top End
Tame, Presence
Pedal
Gain, Tone, Vol, Mix, Footswitch
The gate starts on at -70 dB. Tame cuts high end from 0% to 100%, so turn it up if a capture sounds fizzy.

What's In The Factory Library

13 amp captures: BRIT SNARL, CLANK TANK, CLASSIC JACK, DARK BREAKER, FIVEFIDDY CRUNCH, FLAME ON, JUST TUBES, MURICAN NU, OX SPARKLE, SIXER SCREAM, SPANKY TERRA, TANGE RHYTHM and TUBEPEG.

7 pedal captures: CHAINSAW, CLASSIC DRIVE, FABFUZZ, GREEN DRIVE, LIGHT SOUL, MOD DRIVE and TUBE TIGHTEN.

Every capture comes in both A1 and A2 versions. You also get 15 cab IRs from Vic Audio.

It all installs to Documents/RITUAL2/NAMS AND IRS on PC and Mac. These are different sounds to play and explore, not a five-point gain set from one amp. Build those from your own captures.

Your First Sound In Four Steps

Nothing loads on first launch. Here is how to get sound out of it.

  • Put RITUAL 2 on a monitored guitar track, or pick your interface in the standalone audio settings.
  • Click the centre folder and load a .nam or .rit file. BRIT SNARL from the factory library is a good start.
  • Load a cab IR into A or B and switch CAB on. Start with a comfortable OUTPUT level.
  • Play. Keep AMP on and the tuner off. Raise THRESHOLD if the gate lets idle noise through.

Still silent? Turn the tuner off. It mutes the whole plugin while it is on.

Built To Get Out Of The Way

Save your whole setup as a preset and load it back in one click. Your DAW saves the plugin state with your project as well.

Heads up if you used the first RITUAL. Its presets do not import into RITUAL 2.

Presets

  • Save and load complete setups
  • Presets use the .ritual2 format
  • Legacy .ritual-a2 presets still load
  • Your DAW session saves the plugin state
